Copenhell and Mikkeller present Absindssyg — a blood-red absinthe that doesn’t play by any rules.

Crafted from a blend of the best… and the worst, Absindssyg is the first absinthe built on a gin base, giving it both an unmistakable edge and a striking crimson hue. At its core: Geranium Gin (World’s Best Gin 2015) fused with wormwood-distilled Den Klodsede Bjørn Vodka (Gold Winner, Berlin Destille 2015).

The recipe draws from classic absinthe botanicals—anise and fennel—layered with darker elements: oak bark, valerian root (famously irresistible to unhinged cats), spent chamomile, and orange peel.

Then it goes further.

Absindssyg is smoked with Nordic wolf blood—and sealed with it. Naturally.

And yes, it clocks in at 66.6% ABV.
